Congratulations on the 92nd aniversary of Proclamation of Latvia’s independence
Everyone born in the beautiful land of Latvia has his own associations with the word Motherland. The Gauja with beautiful banks and valleys, home made brown bread, the magic of the night of Ligo, grandma's soft caring hands, which always know how to hold and protect, parents loving eyes .... memories, emotions, the beauty of our native country keeps us together. The place to come back to, where we are waited for and understood, the land of our fathers.
Today we celebrate Latvia's birthday.
I wish our country optimism, courage and stamina.
I wish our country love of its citizens as bright as bright are the thousands of candles people in Latvia lit today.
Andrejs Gluhovs
headmaster of Valmiera secondary school No 2
